A 60 year-old man has been found murdered at his gate at Kebaracho Village in Nyamira County.
It’s alleged that the deceased might have been attacked by his wife since the two had been having family wrangles for a long time.
It’s said that the wife and children are the prime suspects believed to have participated in the killing.
The Assistant Chief Kamau Nyaboga reported the matter to the police after he was alerted by the residents.
He said they found blood on blankets, nets and clothes at the house of the deceased.
The wife was rescued by police officers from a rowdy mob.
Kisii County Commander Martin Kibet said that they have launched investigations into the incident.
The suspect has been detained at Kenyenya Police Station pending charges as the body of the deceased was moved to Lenmeck Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
