Nigerian Heroine ‘Princess’ busted by cops at JKIA

Police at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) are holding a Nigerian National after she was found trafficking drugs believed to be heroin.

Princess Okoye aged 25 was arrested with 77 pellets of suspected narcotics concealed in plastic bottles containing milk. Upon being placed under observation, she emitted an additional 15 Pellets.

Police said the drug trafficker was intercepted as she prepared to board a plane to Italy and she remains under observation as investigations continue.

She will be presented in court to allow police hold her as she is being observed. Cases of drug trafficking are on the decline due to security agencies’ vigilance. Most traffickers have resorted to using roads for the business.

This is not the first incidence of a Nigerian getting busted trying to move heroine through Kenyan borders. Last year the Kenya Revenue Authority intercepted 980 grams of heroin worth Sh2.9 million at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The narcotics were found by the K9 unit at a DHL yard.
