Deputy President has been report to be facing a cold shoulder from the central Kenya region according to some leaders in the region giving him less chances of winning come 2022.
However the Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has now assured the DP that the region is still behind him.
While spoeaking at a funeral service of Mama Margaret Wangechi Irungu, the mother of Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata in Kiharu Constituency where DP Ruto was present said, Waititu said the region was readyb to fulfill their promise which they made to him in 2013.
“It is in black and white, and we will not change our stand on the promise we made prior to the 2013 elections,” Waititu said.
He further asked residents to ignore him Moses Kuria who has also declared his ambition to vie for the top sit.
“Jubilee has a manifesto for this country which we must continue to implement. We must not be kept busy by people who are not after transforming Kenya,” he said.
