Deputy President William Ruto is known to be a man who always takes the bull by the horn.
Ruto is never afraid of taking his challenges head on and has time and again stood up for himself especially when things don’t seen to be going his way.
Saturday saw Ruto’s philantrophy questioned by Opposition Chief Raila Odinga.
In reference to the high end car Ruto gifted to Kisumu Diocese Archbishop Philip Anyolo, Raila said that the Man of God had to return the gift since even the Pope did not buy the idea of accepting it in the first place.
According to Raila, the car was returned because it was acquired from proceeds of corruption.
“Public funds are being looted daily yet poor Kenyans are suffering. Every day, the prices of commodities are rising while graft perpetrators, who are known to the public, run to churches with stolen money.” said Raila.
DP William Ruto has now come out to defend his philantrophy spree. The DP has particularly taken issue with Raila Odinga’s decison to sprew desperate lies.
Ruto’s generousity towards the Churches did not start recently. He has time and again poured millions to Churches through harambees and various funds drives aimed at raising money to build churches.
His ventures have however not been taken lightly by a number of leaders like Raila Odinga and other opposition leaders.
Ruto has now revealed that his church empowerment ventures are only offending magicians and the evil spirits they worship.
“The master of deceit as always is spewing desperate lies. The car gift was bought by Christian leaders including UK and myself at the request of the chair of Catholic mps.Understandably Empowering the church offends magicians and the evil spirits they worship. Shetani ashindwe!” said Ruto.
Well, it seems like we are headed for a another season of name calling and supremacy battles.
