What wife did to MP’s son that cost his death

A son of Kenyan MP had marital issues before deciding to take his own life.

According to doctors at War Memorial Hospital in Nakuru, Collins Kipyegon died at the Intensive Care Unit where he was rushed to after taking a poison.

The Bomet East MP Beatrice Kones’s son allegedly took poison at his home in Kiamunyi estate, outskirts of Nakuru town.

The doctor added that he was received at the hospital with breathing difficulties.

“He was rushed here early morning for having taken poison and doctors did all they could do to save his live but unfortunately he died,” said a doctor on condition of anonymity.

A friend who spoke on condition of anonymity said Kipyegon who lived with his wife has been having family issues.

“He has been having marital issues which we suspect drove him to commit suicide,” he said.

However, it was not established the issues the deceased had in his family.

Nakuru deputy OCPD Daniel Kitavi, however, refused to comment about the incident saying he was not aware.

“I do not have information about the MP’s son having died. Look for family members,” said Kitavi.
