Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes Manchester City have the “definite ability” to complete a quadruple this season.

Howe’s side face the Premier League champions on Saturday, with Man City trailing Liverpool by a point in the title race with ten games remaining.

City have already claimed the Carabao Cup and remain in the Champions League and FA Cup, but Guardiola has repeatedly played down their chances of winning all four trophies.

“I think they can do whatever they want to do,” Howe said. “I think they’ve got the definite ability to do that (the quadruple).”

“I think they’re hugely talented individuals, while being a very good team at the same time and I think that’s a very good mix.

“An outstanding manager of course leads the team and I wouldn’t put it past them – or him – to do that.”

Bournemouth come into the game off the back of a 5-1 defeat at Arsenal on Wednesday and having failed to win any of their last four league games.

Despite their recent struggles, and a record of having lost all seven of their Premier League meetings with Manchester City, Howe maintained that he enjoys coming up against City, and Guardiola in particular.

“It goes without saying (that I’m a big fan of Guardiola),” Howe said.

“Their style of football is a joy to watch. I enjoy watching them play. Every time I see them play I feel like I learn something from how they do things.

“His conduct as well. I think he’s a really classy guy and he handles himself so well amid the pressure of being at the top end of the table, so (I’m) full admiration for him.”
