Mohammed Ibrahim has demanded an apology from Lawyer Ahmenasir Abdullahi for publishing defamatory words against him over Wajir gubernatorial election petition.
Ibrahim noted that a day before the top court delivered its judgment on the election petition, Ahmednasir wrote him a message on WhatsApp alleging that there were rumors that the Supreme Court judges were receiving money in sacks and bags.

Ahmednasir in his message purported that Ibrahim was the only judge in the top court, who has not been mentioned even for once for taking money. However, his accusation was that the judge was not firm and strong.
He further added that Ibrahim should tread carefully and not follow other judges.

After receiving the letter from the judge, Ahmednasir indicated that he will be filing a petition to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) according to Daily Nation.
The rift began when the Supreme Court upheld the election of Wajir Governor Mohamud Abdi, and his opponents lawyers vowed to reveal what they believed to be bribery allegations among the judges.
The Supreme Court allowed an appeal by Mohamed Abdi, but Mohamud stayed put noting that the issue of degree was a pre-election matter and should have been handled before the relevant forums in a majority of four against two.
In their ruling, the judges indicated that the former Wajir Governor, Ahmed Abdullahi, was aware of the issue but kept quiet until he lost the election.
