What else do we know?
Pokemon Shield and Sword will be based on a new place resembling Britain called Galar. They’re directed by Shigeru Ohmori, who was previously behind Sun and Moon.

In perhaps the best news of the afternoon, Pokemon revealed they’re working on even more new treats – although they did not give anything away as to what these would be.

Who are Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble?
Ohmori described Scorbunny as being full of energy and always running about. You can expect Sobble on the other hand to be a bit timid and capable of invisibility. The mischievous Grookey will be full of endless curiosity and definitely a handful. We don’t know much about evolutions for these starters however.

What is Galar?
Galar has been described as ‘an expansive region with diverse environments — an idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forest, and craggy, snow-covered mountains’. We also know that it’ll resemble the UK!

What is Pokemon Day?

If you somehow don’t already know, Pokemon Day is the annual celebration of all things Pokemon on February 27. Pokemon Go also gets involved in the action with generation one creatures popping up more a lot more often than on any other day.

When will these all be released?
We can expect these all to arrive later in 2019 – that’s all we know so far, in regards to a release date – so we’ll all have to be very patient.
