Form 2 student released on sh 300,000 bond in Hopewell teacher murder case

Form two student who was accused of killing Peter Omare a teacher at Hopewell Secondary School has been released on sh 300,000 bond.

Last time presented in court Justice Janet Mulwa directed that the 18 year old student be taken for mental assessment at the Nakuru Level Five Hospital before he takes plea.

Mr Omare was killed on January 24 after being attacked and hit by blunt object on the head.

The student is suspected to have killed Mr Peter Mogusu Omare, a Physics and Computer Studies teacher at Hopewell Secondary School on January 24, 2019 at Rhonda area, Nakuru County.

Before pleading to charges the court dismissed an attempt by the suspect’s lawyer Peter Bore to have him released on bond.

However after being declared mentally okay he pleaded not guilty in a Nakuru Court.
