Who will come to the rescue of Kenyans? Who will Finally Help Stem up this weed called corruption? A Weed that Keeps taking a heavy toll on Kenyans even as the agencies tasked with fighting it seem to be running out of time.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has time and again said that he is committed to Fight corruption at all costs and that no one including his close friends will be spared in the fight.
Kenyans however feel that the head of State is engaging in Cheap talk with many seeing him as a toothless bulldog.
One of those Kenyans is COTU boss Francis Atwoli.
Atwoli has come out guns blazing and has said that corrupt individuals will have themselves haunted down by Kenyans.
Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli has said Kenyans will hunt down corrupt individuals if the government fails to arrest them.
He said workers will take matters into their own hands if people accused of corruption are left to roam free.
“If some of them will not be put in jail, I can tell you, your Excellency, that citizens are going to take action,” Atwoli said.
He spoke on Wednesday during the 30th anniversary of the Pan-African Unions Trade in Nairobi.
Atwoli also said corruption is derailing the country’s development and only the rich and corrupt individuals are able to succeed.
He said workers fully support the President in the war on corruption.
“I want to tell the President of this country that workers are behind him in the fight against graft,” Atwoli said.
