Reprieve for Kenyans as Packet of Unga Falls Below Sh 90

Maize flour prices

The cost of living has soared in the past couple years, moreso when it comes to food purchases.

Indeed, it is clear that the rampant corruption the country currently experiences, the cat and mouse games played between farmers and distibutors, as well as the massive maize scandals are what have led to a large number of Kenyans lacking the financial means to cope with ever-soaring prices of the staple food.

Indeed, Kenyans can still recall the painful purchases of maize flour at a whopping Ksh 200 last year, a once simple feat that turned into an unfathomable magic trick overnight!

Fortunately, Kenyans are bound to get a reprieve after it was announced National Cereals and Produce Board that maize prices would be slashed.

A two-kilo packet of Jogoo will now retail at sh 87, Pembe @sh 85, Soko @ Sh 85, and kifaru @Sh85
