The former politician has been a frequent visitor to the Eldoret Law Court with a series of cases of divorce and business deals gone sour.

Appearing before Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa on Tuesday, February 19, the once KANU bigwig said Kosgey had refused to pay him the money despite the fact that he had personally picked the wheat from his store.

In his defense, Kosgey told the court he had paid one of Kibor’s son by the name Philip and that the debt had been settled.

However, the former politician could not listen to any of that insisting that Kosgey should pay him his money as his son was not involved in the business.

“How could he have paid Philip? The land is mine, I planted the wheat and Philip has nothing there. He only has his land in Kitale and a store there if at all he has one,” Kibor told the court.

The court asked for evidence of an existing contract between the tycoon and Kosgey, but the Old rich farmer said that the only existing evidence between them was the fact that he had taken the accused to his farm before selling the wheat to him.

Causing a stir in the courtroom, the former politician started asking the court clerk questions instead of answering her’s, protesting she was asking him several unnecessary queries.

“You are asking me several unnecessary questions, first I took Kosgey to my shamba before selling him wheat, is it true or false?” posed the the 83-year-old polygamous farmer amid laughter in the courtroom.

Kibor is not new to controversies given in 2017 he almost shot one of his sons who had tried to sell one of his several pieces of land.
