No Condition is Permanent: Inside Child Smuggler Boniface Murage’s New Job

Boniface Murage was a man staring at a Prison sentence and a hefty fine was to come with it. Within a few hours though, his life seem to have completely changed with a number of people coming to his rescue.

After being bailed out and prevented from being a guest of the state, Murage is now staring at a Job opportunity at the Nairobi County Government.

It has been exclusively revealed that Governor Mike Sonko on Tuesday offered job opportunity to Boniface Murage.

Murage was on Tuesday arraigned before Nairobi magistrate Caroline Nzibe of Milimani Law Court over the offence and was handed a three-month suspended sentence.

Murage pleaded guilty to the offence saying he did not have money to offset the huge bill.

The Sh56,000 bill was paid on Monday night by a good samaritanian and Sonko Rescue Team also took Murage’s wife a shopping for all the required baby products.

On Tuesday morning, as Murage was being released from custody, Sonko delivered the good news from United States where he is attending the UN conference in New York that he will be employed at the county government.

“This is to notify you (Boniface Murage) that you have been offered a job at Nairobi’s Environment Department,” a letter from Sonko read in part.

Sonko has directed Murage to report to his office immediately.
