Controversial musician Akothee has responded to critics for attacking her on her indecent dressing and dancing styles during a recent concert.

The mother of five said now says people are only interested in her life because she is rich and famous.

She says nobody was interested in her modelling their children when she was poor.

“When I was broke, I was nobody’s role model. Now that I am rich and famous, you want to ride on my money and fame,” the musician wrote.

The songbird further explained her ‘bad manners’ was what put food on her table and she was not willing to stop her ratchet behavior anytime soon.

Ezekiel Mutua , the Kenya Films Classification Board (KFCB) boss was one of the many Kenyans who criticized the Songbird based on her Sunday’s performance terming Akothee’s actions as “filthy and demonic”.

Mutua wrote;

In response, the songbird said her father does not have a problem with how she dresses or dances. Akothee then explained if her own father got used to her behavior, then surely every other person will follow suit.

For the parents who keep accusing Akothee of being a bad role model, the singer asked them to consult their church elders and leave her out of their problems.
