Romelu Lukaku will wear special edition Puma boots to mark the NBA All-Star game

Romelu Lukaku and Antoine Griezmann will mark the NBA All-Star Weekend by donning special edition boots inspired by the event.

Both players are huge basketball fans and have previously been spotted courtside watching matches.

On pre-season tour of the USA, Lukaku posed with Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green

To celebrate the match, which sees some of the NBA’s biggest stars pitted against each other, Puma have released a limited edition ‘MVP pack’.

Griezmann will wear the boots over the weekend, when Atletico Madrid visit Rayo Vallecano on Saturday February 16.

Fans will have to wait until Monday February 18 to see Lukaku in his footwear.

This will be when his Manchester United side travel Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round.

Inspired by local basketball franchise Charlotte Hornets – owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan – the FUTURE and PUMA ONE boots feature a purple and orange scheme and have stars on the outsoles.

The All-Star game on Februay 17 will see leading NBA players LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo each captain a self-selected side.

The two players were selected as captains are gaining the most votes from both conferences last term.

For the second successive year, James was the highest overall vote-earner so earned first pick for his team.

This is the first time the captains-pick format has been used to decide the All-Star rosters, with James and Antetokounmpo selecting starters and reserves.

Each roster is boosted by a pick from commissioner Adam Silver.
