Whatsapp Will Launch New Feature That Allows Users to Accept or Reject Group Requests

Don’t you just hate it when people add you to a Whatsapp group without your consent?

Well, all this could change now that Whatsapp is currently in the development stages of a new option within the settings interface that will give users the ability to accept or reject an invitation by group admins to certain groups.

Despite the feature’s launch date unclear, it is believed that the new option will be located under the privacy settings option.

Once one is able to access the new feature, there will be a ‘Group’ option that will provide an individual with the ability to either accept everyone, no one, or only their respective contacts to the Group,

Additionally, once the Group Settings option will be activated, requests will have a duration period not exceeding 72 hours, after which they will expire.

The new feature is expected to sit well with Whatsapp users, who have had the perennial problem of dealing with group additions without their consent.
