LSK OPENS BRANCH IN KISII

The Council of Law Society of Kenya has officially opened the South West Branch Offices in Kisii town today.

The council president Allen Gichuhi who led the occasion, said that setting up of operational branch offices brings services closer to its members and the public and also called upon them to support the LSK Pension Scheme which will be launched in the course of the year.

However, Gichuhi’s leadership has faced stiff divisions that has rocked the Law Society of Kenya, with one faction accusing him of poor leadership barely a year after he took the oath of office.
Members who have fallen out with president Gichuhi have accused him of constantly frustrating and silencing dissenting voices. The splinter group has registered a new group, Chama cha Mawakili, to checkmate the LSK.
