Life and perception can truly change within a span of time.Kitui County Assembly Speaker George Mutua Ndotto is counting blessings after narrowly escaping death on Friday night after being involved in a freak accident.
Ndotto, who is serving his second term, was on heading home when the vehicle that he was traveling in rammed into an oncoming car.
He was on his way back from Koma 2 Convention that was held in Matungulu, Machakos County earlier in the day.
After being rescued, Ndotto was stabilized and rushed to the hospital where he’s under observation.
The speaker has been at loggerheads with the perennial political supremacy battles often result in a stalemate in the executive.
Another freak accident that has beenhaunting detectives involves the road accident that killed Nyeri’s third Governor Wahome Gakuru.
Gakuru passed away aged 51 in the accident along Nyeri- Nairobi Highway early morning on November 7, 2017 at Makenji around 7 am on his way to Nairobi.
The governor’s Mercedes E250 rammed into a highway guardrail which ripped through it and emerged from the back.
Gakuru was heading to Nairobi a media interview in one of the local vernacular media stations.
Shocked residents could not comprehend how the Mercedes Benz which they referred to as a small car’ could end up causing such extensive damage to the guard rails.
DCI ordered public inquest into the death which was started in January.
