Details of Raila’s state visit to Ethiopia

 

Raila Odinga  is currently in Addis Ababa to represent Kenya in for the 37th Session of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee (HSGOC) meeting that opens tomorrow, Saturday 9th February 2019 at the AUC New Convention Centre.

The 37th Session of the HSGOC will receive opening statements from:
• H.E Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal and Chairperson of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee (HSGOC);

• H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of African Union Commission; and

• H.E. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda and Chairperson of the African Union.

Journalists are invited to cover the official opening ceremony and participate in the press briefing at the African Union Conference Centre during the closing session of the HSGOC, which will be presided over by incoming Chairperson of AUDA-NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee.

Ever since his appointment as the appointment to the African Union (AU) as the High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa, Odinga has been keen to attend conferences and events that are linked to the development of Africa.

Raila made his arrival in Ethiopia public on his official twitter account ahead of the meeting.
