Former Bungoma County governor Kenneth Lusaka is the man who is having the last laugh after his former county members cry foul.
The former Governor who is now Senate speaker served for one term before lossing to his incumbent Wycliffe Wangamati.
He now says that the people have only themselves to blame for whatever challenges they might be facing now.
While speaking in a interview with one of the radio stations, he said, the choice for his county to let him go was a bad idea as people are now coming to terms with the fact that choices have consequences.
“Huenda wanapata shida lakini walijitakia wenyewe. Wao wenyewe ndio waliofanya maamuzi (they made the decision, it’s now their time account for their decision),” he said.
He further saying that he has not been frequenting the region lately, with regards to the nature of his new role which demands a constant presence in Nairobi.
“Sijakuwa kule kama zamani ambapo tulifanya kazi na watu wa Bungoma (unlike before when I was constantly on the ground, I have not been frequenting Bungoma),” he added.
Lusaka said that the house should be made to handle higher issues as compared to the National Assembly which appears to rank on top of it in the current system.
The house, he added, brings together brilliant and experienced minds who need more powers.
