Can you even tell that this is Kenya?
Yes it is our beautiful country that is now making giant steps in making sure that we achieve the global goal of going green and using clean energy.
In one of the development Agenda under President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four Agenda was to make sure that electrircity is made accessible to all Kenyans.
This was through using all the means possible to connect the people. It has really started gaining shape.
The Photo up here is the aerial view of the Garissa Solar Power Plant, which injects 54.6 MW to the national grid. It was constructed at a cost of Ksh.13.5 Billion.
It is meant to supply solar energy to residents of Garissa and the entire region. The decision to have the solar energy in the area was arrived at in relation to lack of water to generate Hydro-electric power.
It’s one Kenya’s largest solar power plants. Can anyone guess the project & where it’s located? #WhereInKenya #KenyaMbele pic.twitter.com/MXKGRc96aG
