Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter is a man staring at trouble and a big trouble for that matter. The MP was supposed to appear at the Milimani Law Courts for the mention of a case in which he is charged with forging Sh633 Treasury Bills.

The outspoken lawmaker however failed to turn up prompting the Court to issue a warrant of arrest against him.

Chief magistrate Francis Andayi issued the warrant on Thursday.

Keter is charged alongside two co-directors of Desai Industries – Madat Chatur and Arthur Sakwa.

They were dramatically arrested by officers from the DCI’s Banking Fraud Investigation Unit at Central Bank of Kenya offices on February 16, 2018.

The three were nabbed after allegedly presenting a set of forged Treasury bills which were purportedly issued by the CBK a number of years ago.

Their case will be mentioned on February 14.

The prosecution had lined up 13 witnesses and 16 exhibits.

Should Keter be granted bail after absconding Court sessions?
