The vocal Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi is expected to attend a court hearing today at the Ngong Law Court according to sources.
MP Mulyungi will be in court to answer assault charges against his ex-lover NTV Doreen Majala.
Majala in 2018 reported at a Karen Police Station that Mulyungi beat her after an argument. Through social media, she claimed that he was cheating and mistreating her and that she was afraid of her life after the altercation.
“I managed to report the matter at Hardy police station. I fear for my life because he always threatened me that I really don’t know who he is. This assault is not the first or second time. I did it to protect my home, and his anger condition. Please help,” Doreen wrote.
The news anchor said she had to seek treatment at Avenue Hospital for injuries to the back of her head. After the report, the MP was arraigned in court in March last year and charged.
