PHOTOS: Inside Kenya’s Hospital that costed 11 Billion

Uhuru’s big 4 agenda has greatly contributed to the growth of the healthcare sector and although many might not know the changes and developments that are already in place; I believe that this will go a long way to helping Kenyans access medical services.

These are photos from Kenyatta University Referral  Hospital, built at a cost of KSH 11 Billion.

A project that  commenced in 2014  and was completed in 2018. The hospital will ease pressure on Kenyatta National Hospital and enhance capacity building of health workers in the region.

Apart from that, Kenyans will get advanced medical services and care. Although it is not confirmed whether the hospital is  offering services yet, this is proof that there is hope for a better Kenyan.

Generally health facilities across different parts of the country have been faced with challenges.

From the equipment to the  challenge of having not enough workers in hospital; the government has however shown efforts and commitment in ensuring that the lives of Kenyans are bettered.

The conditions in some hospitals are also said to be sickening and demand of services said to be higher than the capacity they can offer.

Earlier last year, the media featured the state of condition in Kiambu Hospital where patients were seen sharing beds and forced to buy drugs and other items before admission.

Others admitted to having to buy drugs before their patients could undergo surgery.

With the gap that there is currently in the health sector, there is hope that this will be among the solutions and more Kenyans will be able to access services.
