Ktn Erroneously calls William Ruto ‘President’ and Kenyans can’t let them Be

Deputy President William Ruto is a man under a lot of attack. 2019 wouldn’t have started on such a wrong foot for the man who has never hidden his ambition of being the President of this country after the next elections.

But David Murathe and recently Fred Matiang’i have been giving Ruto sleepless nights. Former Jubilee Deputy Party leader Murathe has vowed to go to Supreme Court to ensure Ruto does not vie for Presidency in 2022. Murathe says Ruto and Uhuru should both retire after the end of their 10-year time.

On the other hand, Matiang’i was recently appointed as the Prime Minister and will take over the role of launching projects from the Deputy President. Some people have argued that Ruto is now a DP without portfolio.

On Monday, KTN erroneously called Ruto as the President of Kenya. And as usual, Kenyans were having a field day roasting the TV station.

“President William Ruto launched the third national action plan on open government partnerships. during the launch, Ruto called for enhanced facilitation and access to government information to strengthen oversight and bolster anti corruption efforts.” KTN said on their official Twitter handle.

Of course the Tweet has already been deleted. But we have evidence.

The tweet has elicited different reactions on social media as you would expect. We are waiting to see if KTN will apologize.
