Kenyan authorities have cautioned motorists using Nairobi-Mombasa highway to be extra careful or use alternative route after two trucks collided and bust in flames.

The accident occurred on Sunday at Kambu Machinery road in Kibwezi Makueni County.
The two drivers of the two trucks sustained injuries and were rushed to Kambu and Kibwezi Hospitals.

“We wish to caution Motorists using the Nairobi-Mombasa highway that there’s an accident involving two trucks between Machinery and Kambu area. Traffic Police are already at the scene and are advising motorists to use the old Mombasa-Nairobi road,” the police said in a statement.
