President Uhuru Kenyatta today made a historic visit to DCI headquarters.His visit was the first ever by a Head of State in the history of Kenya.
The historic visit by President Uhuru Kenyatta to the DCI Headquarters is in recognition and appreciation of the diligence and commitment shown by the DCI in delivering on its mandate.
“We appreciate the efforts by National Police Service of Kenya and office of the Director Of Public Prosecution to effectively perform their duties. As we acknowledge the independence of those two offices, we also recognize their interdependence & collaboration in the multi-agency arrangement which is bearing fruits.”
The President asked the state officials to be part of the team that is working towards rooting out corruption and crime in the country.
“We are one Government and we must therefore work together for the people of Kenya. This is the only way to win as a country in the face of terrorism, organised crime and other vices that threaten our national security.”
The President Promised his support to ensure that the police service and office of DCI gets maximum support in its effort to root out the country’s biggest menace.
“My Administration commits to continue supporting the modernization of the National Police Service of Kenya and Office of the Director of Public Prosecution so as to effectively and efficiently deliver to the people of Kenya. Security and stability are paramount to the development of our nation.”
