President Kenyatta Honours the DCI & DPP as He Condemns Rogue Officers

President Uhuru Kenyatta has today conferred awards awards and honours to officers who have been at the forefront in the war against graft.

The officers awarded and honoured by President Kenyatta today are drawn from the Kenya Police Service and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The President congratulated the DCI and DPP officers for the good work they have done so far in the war against graft. He at the same time called on them to stand firm and continue doing more.

“It is a pleasure to join you this morning. I chose this day to honor men and women in the executive who have been in the forefront in the fight against corruption”

“I congratulate DCI and DPP officers for the work they have done so far, but we must continue to do more.”
“Individuals who choose to live outside the rule of law must be dealt with firmly but within the law.” said the President.
The President made a stopover at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu road, on his way to the Bomas of Kenya. During the visit, he also held a meeting with all CID bosses and then took a tour of the forensic lab.
The President also took time to warn rogue officers who time and again misuse their positions to the expense of Kenyans.

“As we do all to support you, we will also be firm and hostile to officers who misuse their positions to the expense of Kenyans, the taxpayers who pay taxes for us to get our salaries,” said Uhuru.

Uhuru’s Visit to the DCI today is the first ever by a head of state in the history in Kenya.
