Reports on various blogs have said that Violet Kemunto, the most Kenyan was nabbed by detectives on Friday.
According to these reports, Violet who is the wife Ali Salim Gichunge was arrested in Makueni. Neither the DCI nor the national police service have confirmed these reports.
Kemunto, a holder of a degree in Communication and Public Relations, is believed to have been the real mastermind of the Dusit D2 attack in Nairobi last week. At least 21 people were killed after her husband led six other men to the building and started shooting unarmed civilians.
She is believed to very dangerous in gun techniques having undergone training in Somalia. Her education background also makes her an asset for the terrorists.
Several suspects have already been arrested and arraigned in court over the attack. Last Friday, the State applied to have five suspects detained for 30 days to enable detectives to conclude the investigations.
The five are; Joel Nganga, Oliver Muthee, Gladys Kaari, Guleid Abdihakim and Osman Ibrahim.
The DPP also plans to charge Diamond Trust Bank with aiding and abetting the attack by allowing a suspect to withdraw more Sh5 million in a day.
