It was huge blow after thee Supreme Court of Kenya overturned the Court of Appeal ruling allowing Muslim students to wear hijabs in school after appeal by Methodist Church.
According to the judges, the decision goes against school uniform policy granting schools leeway to decide what rules will govern it.
The ruling comes days after the Cabinet Secretary Amb Amina Mohammed gave orders that the girl from the rastafarian community should be allowed to go back to school since muslim girls go with hijabs. She further added saying that no one should be denied to practice their religion.
The rulling by the apex court has called for mixed reactions from the online community some being muslims terming this as been denied the right for their religion.
Here are some reactions
wearing hijab in hot sun is not healthy at all even if Muslim women do they deeply hate it but have to follow stupid Religion!let every Muslim lady learn from the teen in S.Arabia Refuse being duped by Religion! eat pork! wear that classic dress u see in shops etc

Ironically a church appealed on that decision, something that purely touches on Islamic faith. Then soon they will be out here preaching about tolerance!!!

The school in question was/is run by the said church. They had appealed on grounds that it was against their uniform policy. The court then overturned the previous decision and stated that Muslim students shouldn’t wear hijabs in non-Muslim schools if it’s against existing policy

Does that mean people shouldnt wear any religious or cultural attire in institutions, which wpulr mean wedding bands, sister clothes and father collars should not be allowed in the school otherwise, the law is discriminating against Muslim students, concerned citizen

CS @AMB_A_Mohammed should also withdraw her directive on the admission of the student with rastafarian hair! In these al shabab times we cant affor excess freedoms. A rogue student can take advantage of religious freedom to transfer weapons. Let’s stick to uniformity. @dkmaraga
