Mike Maina is a Thief!! Sonko Exposes City Billionaire For His Ratchet Behaviour

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has once again hit out at Mike Maina, the owner of Marble Arc Hotel in Nairobi.

Sonko, in an interview on Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange Live stated that he is not afraid of Mike Maina and his Billions.

“Mike Maina, the owner is Marble Arch Hotel is a thief! I am not afraid of his Billions! He is a thief!!” Said Sonko.

Sonko added that he is not afraid of confronting cartels like Maina since he will die someday just like the cartels.

“I do not fear cartels; I will die some day and even the cartels will die,” Said Sonko.

Mike Maina, who is at the centre of the recent demolitions at Nyama Villa Estate in Kayole estate has been accused by Sonko’s County Government of building his magnificent hotel in parts of a public road.

Governor Sonko hurled insults at the City tycoon and accused him of using fake documents to claim ownership of the 20-acre parcel of land in Kayole.

In December last year, Maina was served with a 14-day notice to demolish part of the Marble Hotel which the county government claims has encroached on a road.

The notice came barely 12 hours after the county government demolished a parking lot at the hotel which is situated along Lagos Road.

According to the notice served by the county, the hotel management has 14 days starting December 21 to stop further illegal occupation and development of the property.

Maina went ahead and obtained a court order stopping Sonko’s Government from demolishing his hotel.

While issuing the orders at the Environment and Land Court  , Justice Okong’o further directed the Officer Commanding Central Police Station Nairobi to provide protection to the business premises and ensure its not interfered with.

Sonko and the County Government have however vowed to bring parts of the Marble hotel down.
