Babu Owino irked with war against corruption taking a political twist

Do you think that the war against graft has taken a political twist?

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino  has today addressed his concerns in regard to the war against graft.

The Member of Parliament said that inorder to strengthen the judiciary, there is a need for  sobriety in the war on graft.

He also went ahead and mentioned that many observers have noted that this war seems to have taken a political twist and is now tainted with vendetta and personal differences.

As an example, Babu Owino said that there are trumped up charges against the Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu who is being subjected to vexatious litigation over matters that are clearly civil and not criminal.

Although the case is still pending, he urged the Director of Public Prosecutions to reconsider his position and drop this matter to free the DCJ to continue with the good work she is doing for the nation.

Yesterday, the office of the DPP reassured Kenyans on their unrelenting war against corruption. Noordin Haji has  stated that his commitment and dedication in this war is unshaken.

He also added that through the unshakable bonds that they have built with the Kenyan People who want to see corruption eliminated will see them continue to work to increase their record of vigorously prosecuting the corrupt as well as dismantling their networks.

Ever since President Kenyatta   declared  corruption as a national fight he insisted that the fight belongs to every single citizen of Kenya regardless of gender or tribe.

This triggered Kenyans to be more vigilant and the institutions that handle corruption cases were brought on the front-line to ensure that Integrity is maintained.
