Bishop Raila Odinga Visits CJ Maraga for special Prayers after Accident

There was tension on Saturday morning after news spread that Chief Justice David Maraga and his lovely wife Yucabeth Nyaboke had been involved in a tragic accident at Ng’ata area along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.

This being a festive season, where the curse of road accidents in Kenya is known to strike hard, Kenyans had feared for the worse. Fortunately, the couple sustained minor injuries which were managed at the Nakuru War Memorial Hospital.

The CJ has now released a statement saying that he has been discharged out of the Nairobi Hospital where he was undergoing observation. Of particular note is the fact that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga visited the family in their Nairobi home and even prayed with them.

Raila was among the senior public figures who wished the Maragas quick recovery following their accident:

In a post on Social media, Raila had prayed that they get well soon enough to be together with their families during this festive season. But nobody expected the AU envoy to visit Maraga just for prayers. Well, that is another part of the enigma we didn’t know.

Raila himself has head several misfortunes in the family. He lost his son in 2013 and his daughter recently went blind. It is prayers that have got him going.
