A new  poll report by Infotrak has shown 51% of Kenyans are not happy with the direction the country was headed.

The disgruntled Kenyans cited rampant corruption, high cost of living, lack of jobs and high poverty levels as clear indicators that government was headed to the wrong direction.

According to the survey findings released by Infotrak CEO Angela Ambitho on Thursday, December 20, 61% of participants blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta for steering the country to the wrong direction.

“It was only 15% of Kenyans who participated in survey who absolved the blame from the president over the direction the country was headed,” said Ambitho.

The survey indicated that 36% of Kenyans were satisfied the country was moving in the right direction while 13% did not have a clue on state of the nation.

A majority of participants when questioned on Jubilee government’s much hyped Big Four Agenda said they did not know about it.

Out of those interviewed 53% said they did not know what Big Agenda was with the remaining 47% stating they knew. Residents of Central Kenya led in awareness of Big Four agenda as 61% of those interviewed acknowledged they knew the four pillars. A majority of Nairobi residents at 59% said they were aware of the Big Four agenda while 54% of defunct Nyanza region had a clue about the four development pillars.

Coast region recorded the highest rate of unawareness at 65% as Western and Rift Valley closely trailed with The survey conducted between Thursday, November 29, and Saturday, December 1, probed 1,500 participants.
