‘If God is for us, who is against us?’ That was Anne Waiguru’s first reaction, after the court of appeal dismissed an appeal by Martha Karua challenging her election as the governor of Kerinyaga County.
Waiguru, arrived at the courts with a battery of friends and journalists who broke into song and dance outside the supreme courts immediately the ruling was made.
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”Rom8:31 – Thus says the Word of God

The judges ruled that the appellant has to prove her case beyond reasonable doubt on claims that there was bribery in the gubernatorial election last year.
“There was no prejudice suffered by the appellant in failure by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to produce the Kenya Integrated Election Management System (KIMS) kit,” the ruling read by Justice Gatembu Kairu said.
Several Kenyans have heard there say on the latest ruling.

The celebrations could however be short-lived as Martha Karua has revealed she will challenge the ruling at the Supreme Court. According to the former Justice Minister, the outcome of the Appellant court was predetermined since Waiguru arrived in court ready to celebrate.
