Rafa Benitez Clear On What He Wants To Do In January

Rafa Benitez has been told he will be supported in the January transfer window whatever the situation is regarding the ownership of the club.

The Peter Kenyon led consortium with funding provided by the Rockefeller Capital Management group is in the lead to buy Newcastle and currently in the due diligence phase.

Whether they can complete the sale before the end of January is debatable but possible.

Newcastle want Atlanta United playmaker Miguel Almiron, but his club want €30M for their player, and we doubt Ashley will fund that deal, which would be a record incoming transfer for the club.

There are negotiations ongoing to try to get Almiron to Newcastle and Rafa wants the players brought in early in January so he can get them into the team and making a contribution quickly.

This is what Benitez has told the Chronicle, “We were quite good in the end last year with Kenedy and Dubravka, after it you have to deal with the situation.”

“Hopefully, we can be ready after this year and be ready for what we want to do.”

“The main thing for us is to find the right player.” “After that we consider what the right solution is.”

“But the key is to find the player.” “That’s the most difficult thing in January.”

“It’s just the left-back position, that’s the only one we don’t have a left-footed left-back to cover Paul Dummett.”

“The other positions we have a couple of players and if you have a problem the other is ready.”

“If not we have others ready to push.”

“I have said before that I am not the one to tell the fans what they have to do.”

“I think they know the Premier League is so difficult that we need everybody behind the team.”

“One way or another you have to decide what you want to do.”

“What is very clear is that this group of players deserve the support from the fans.”

“They are having this support and we will need it to the end.”

Rafa is hoping for four players brought into the club next month, and they are thought to be a left back, a playmaker, a striker, and a winger.

We will have to wait to see how successful Newcastle are in what could be Rafa’s final transfer window as the Newcastle manager.
