THESE Political Leaders IGNORE Raila’s Kiambu Visit, Here’s Why

Kiambu Leaders kept off Raila Odinga’s tour of the area on Monday to raise funds for PCEA Kangoya Child development centre.

None of the 12 elected leaders accompanied the former premier even as Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s office confirmed being informed about it.

Image result for raila odingaKikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa was categorical that he would not have attended the meeting even if he were aware of it. He said he was in Garissa where he had accompanied Ruto on a working tour.

Raila used the opportunity to address claims that the war on corruption was targeting Deputy President William Ruto’s allies.

“The fight against corruption will continue and I support the President on this. Those leaders saying that it is only one community being targeted should know that those implicated did it individually and not on behalf of their communities,” stated Odinga.

The area is said to be backing Ruto if pledges by local MPs are anything to go by. All Kiambu MPs and Governor Waititu have publicly declared their support for DP’s 2022 bid.

Several senior employees from the Kalenjin community have been associated with graft and investigative agencies have vowed to ensure they are prosecuted.
