Blow for Gor Mahia as dependable duo are ruled out of Super Cup clash

Gor Mahia will have to do without striker Jacques Tuyisenge and midfielder Kenneth Muguna as they play Sportpesa Shield Holders Kariobangi Sharks in the Super Cup on Sunday at Machakos Stadium.

The players who picked up injuries in the mid-week clash with Nyasa Big Bullets have been handed four days to recover

“Tuyisenge and Muguna will be out and they will not probably make it even to Malawi for the return leg against Big Bullets. The two picked up injuries on Wednesday – Tuyisenge will have upto 4-5 days therapy before recommendation and Muguna will have a four-day rest,” the coach told the Clubs official portal.

In absence of Tuyisenge, the coach will have to work with the available options in Erisa Ssekisambu, Ephrem Guikan, Francis Mustapha alongside side other available players.

Gor Mahia have played Kariobangi Sharks five times in all competitions – four league matches and one shield encounter. KÓgalo have won four times with one match (shield) ending in a draw that saw Sharks proceed through penalty shootout.

The season’s curtain-raiser will kick off at 3pm.
