Is this the reason as to why the county boss was speaking in an American accent at the ongoing sustainable blue economy conference at KICC on Tuesday? Nairobi County’s Mike Mbuvi Sonko is the most improved governor out of four counties surveyed (Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa and Kiambu), according to polls released by research firm TIFA on Wednesday.
Sonko’s performance has however improved from a D+ in May to a C in November.
Sonko beat all the odds to record the results above considering the fact that he is the only governor among the ones surveyed, who has no a deputy governor!

Majority of Nairobians believe that Governor Sonko has performed in making Nairobi brighter through the street lighting projects.
However, a majority of Nairobi residents do not support Governor Sonko’s decision of running the county without a Deputy Governor.
In terms of service delivery, Sonko scored the same grade as his Kiambu and Mombasa counterparts, Ferdinand Waititu and Hassan Ali Joho.
Kenyans on twitter had already started speculating what Waititu could score, making fun of his sorts of creativity.
As we wait for the grades, wonder what Kiambu governor Waititu is expecting with this kind of creativity #CountyScoreCard pic.twitter.com/8r3AIfA8Sk

The Kimabu boss scored a C plain, which again Kenyans had to make fun of.
With the results out, Sonko and Waititu be like, C is great, I mean the highest is a C+, we are number 2 #CountyScoreCard pic.twitter.com/8KkkzWbGN0

In Joho led Mombasa County, residents rated public health services at an average of (C) , street lighting was the highest rated at an average of (B).

The Clean County is Kisumu under governor Anyang Nyong where 65% of the respondent in Kisumu believed that Kisumu county government has succeeded in keeping the county clean. Nyong scored the highest in terms of service delivery. He had a C+.
Do you think these surveys will help improve Counties’ performance in terms of service delivery?
