Security concerns forces Arsenal match to be move

UEFA has announced Vorskla vs Arsenal clash will take place in Kiev on Thursday 29th due to security concerns

The match was initially scheduled to be played in Oleksiy Butovsky Vorskla Stadium, around 300km east of the Ukraine capital.

However, after martial law was declared in some regions of the country, UEFA’s emergency panel announced the match will now take place in Kiev’s Olimpiyskiy Stadium, which hosted the Champions League final in May, as well as the Euro 2012 final.

Martial law was imposed in the country due to escalating tensions with Russia, whose coastguards are accused of seizing three Ukrainian ships in Crimea on Sunday.

Up to 500 Arsenal fans were expected to travel to Poltava and now must make alternative arrangements.
