Politics in Kenya grants a posh lifestyle. Most top political figures are hailed for living high end lifestyles characterized by sophistication.

The amount of cash used to make sure that their dreams of lavish living come true is extremely overboard. It is simply unpronounceable. But what can we do yet they are the ones who have the keys to our money banks?

I bet nothing, but just continue speaking out for a relief to come through.

The state also plans to splash Kshs50 million for the Deputy President to have an office space at the coastal city.

This was arrived at after they revealed that leasing a home and an office for Ruto would pose a security threat.

Other refurbishments to be undertaken include Kshs35 million for his Nairobi office along Harambee avenue and Ksh15 million for his state-given Karen home valued at Ksh400 million that he does not even occupy.

The DP opted to live in his private residence and only uses the state property for official meeting and hosting delegations.

Ruto’s new Mombasa home has already consumed taxpayer’s Ksh7 million with the state’s treasury already allocated Ksh39 million for the home’s repair compounding the figure to more than Ksh46 million.

The property is currently vacant and was once occupied by former Coast Regional Coordinator Samuel Kilele.

The DP had previously spent working tours to Mombasa at beach hotels.

What do you think of those figures proposed to refurbish the house?
