Next time you are in Nairobi CBD and want to withdraw some of your hard earned cash from an ATM, beware of a group of daring daylight robbers.
These robbers are specialized in mugging Kenyans who have just withdrawn their money from the bank. According to the National Police, the gang is led by a notorious hardcore criminal known as Godfrey Sankare Ambani.
Police have released a picture of the deadly ringleader, whom they claim is on the loose, meaning you could fall victim.
“Members of the public are cautioned to be wary of the following suspects led by one Godfrey Sangare Ambani, who masterminds daylight muggings within the CBD and robbery of clients who have just withdrawn money from their banks.” The National Police said through their Official Twitter handle.

Police say that the gangster was arrested on the 19th October after he was captured by CCTV Cameras robbing a man who had just stepped out of a bank.
“Ambani was arrested by our officers on 19th October after being captured on CCTV robbing a man shortly after he had stepped out of a bank, but he was released on cash bail.”

He was however controversially released by the courts on a cash bail, despite having no known abode. This is so unfortunate because, no single mugging was reported in the CBD during his incarceration .
