Former Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr is set to take over the reigns at  South Africa Premier League Soccer (PSL) side Black Leopards.

Leopards are without a coach after Joel Masutha resigned last week following a string of poor results.

Under Masutha, the “LIDODA DUVHA”, who were promoted to the Premier Soccer League this season, have only managed two wins in eleven games and are currently 14th in the 16-team topflight.

Kerr sensationally resigned from Gor last week, barely after leading the team on a historic trip to England where they faced EPL side Everton FC in a friendly.

He had won two KPL titles with club as well as the Sportpesa Super cup and no one at Gor Mahia expected him to quit.

In his resignation letter dated 15th November 2018, Kerr clearly indicated that he will be taking another coaching role for the new season and thanked all the club officials.

However, those close to the club have revealed that the coach worked under difficult conditions, and only left after getting fed up.

Judith Nyangi, an outspoken club official revealed that Kerr stayed in darkness Kenya Power, cut off the electricity in his house due to non paid bills. She also said the Malta Born Englishman, used to take shower in a swimming pool due to lack of water in his rented house.

Kerr resigned last week, saying he had accepted a new offer from another club.

Kerr was also not happy with lack of support from FKF and KPL in continental competitions. Gor were on the verge of qualifying for CAF Confederations Cup knockouts but were undone by a fixture pile up.

The team played 20 matches in 60 days between July and August, and lost momentum in the Confederations Cup. They lost the last two group matches to Rayon Sports and Algiers.
