The youths were ready for him and displayed banners written ” Vijana na Ruto” as a way of assuring him support.

Earlier on, Raila’s allies had passed a warning against Ruto’s tour to their backyard, noting that the tour aimed at undermining the handshake deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila on March 9.

They cautioned that Ruto was scheduled to launch projects that had been commissioned by the grand-coalition government which was under Raila as a prime minister and Former President Mwai Kibaki.

However, Ruto gave a deaf ear to the threats and went on launching projects in the area.
