Itumbi narrated details of a previous day of how he had revealed to Maribe as her very supportive father and mother listened that people were saying he is trying to win her back to which the anchor responded “Tell them, we share a soul. Something deeper than love, a friendship that words can only spell but not explain,” she responded.
Well in another interview he has yet again revealed his thoughts regarding their friendship status saying they are ready to deepen the friendship and go far.Whatever goes past friendship only Dennis and Maribe can tell as they seem to know a whole lot about friendship
The other day Itumbi also mentioned that so strong is their friendship that it has been scripted by blogs, mainstream media pages and social media into a story of love.
“Looking at it on face value, one would be convinced, on a balance of probabilities that we indeed were once in love. Google posts results of a kiss, a cake in studio and several other pictures and…who needs context when a Cinderella story, like a Latin American soap”.
In the latest interview he says”I have enjoyed reading the messages on my inbox, comments on my social media, memes and everything that was happening. I can’t respond to all of them, though,” Itumbi told Massawe on a phone interview.
Asked if he is hoping to take the friendship to another level, Itumbi said:
“She is my friend and she will be forever, and I’m glad am there for her. She is a beautiful African lady and any man would want to date her, but for me and her, we are friends and ready to deepen our friendship to go far.
“I am not Jacque Maribe’s ex-boyfriend because we have never been lovers, and she has also answered about those allegations. Our friendship is bigger than lovers and I call those rumours Cinderella stories
“Jacque has been my friend and I even hosted her baby shower and so many things that we have done together.”
Justice James Wakiaga on Tuesday granted Maribe a Sh 1 million bail with three sureties. However, Maribe could not immediately leave prison, as verification of surety documents was slow.
Asked how Jacque is doing after leaving prison, Itumbi said:
“I have not communicated to her since then, but what I am sure is she is with her parents. I’m sure she will be resting and picking up the tissues as she awaits to go back to work, because life must continue.”
Itumbi can now breath after the stress he went through because of his cinderalla. “Nothing breaks a friend than seeing Jacque, in a capital offence uniform, locked behind bars, and having to hug her goodbye every day knowing all too well she is a beautiful soul, joyous heart and charming company.” he said.
