We all know that when Mourinho is not happy then that will not be good for the Reds Devils. Mourinho was believed to have been left angry after Woodward recently cancelled a meeting at the last minute.
But it’s now believed the pair will finally sit down ahead of United’s clash with Bournemouth on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho has been left frustrated at the lack of business done by United during the summer with the boss desperate for a new centre-back.
The likes of Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire and Jerome Boateng were all mentioned as potential transfer targets.
But a centre-half was not signed and Mourinho has lamented that lack of recruitment during the opening stages of season.
And the former Chelsea boss now heads into his meeting with Woodward seeking clarity about his future and the club’s transfer business in January, according to Metro.
It’s claimed that Mourinho is still concerned over his defence and will use his meeting with Woodward to push forward his own suggestions.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is under immense pressure following a poor start to the season and may want confirmation that he will be backed.
Talk of a Director of Football coming to Old Trafford has been mooted and Mourinho reportedly knows that he needs to wait for one to come in before his transfer targets are agreed.
Mourinho admitted Manchester United needed bolstering as recently as the weekend, following a 2-1 win over Everton.
He said: “We are not as solid as I would like.
“We are not as rock solid as I would like, we don’t have the killer instinct I would like.
“Some teams with three chances score three goals and some teams without the ball can resist and keep clean sheets all the time.
“For us in this moment is almost impossible to keep a clean sheet even with the phenomenal goalkeeper we have and to score goals is really difficult for us.
“You can see in this moment, in the last nine matches – if I’m not wrong – between Rashford and Lukaku we score one goal, if I’m not wrong.”
