Mwaura:”Young Uhuru is out of 2022 politics.”

Power is addictive. Why do people always want to be in control and in powerful positions?

That feeling of being in control is satisfying to many. They feel they have a share , no the elephants share of everything. They feel secure. They are under armor.

This is the exact feeling of the leaders of Mt. Kenya region.

The leaders of Mt. Kenya region have sensed a political drought in the region after President Uhuru Kenyatta moves out of active politics in 2022. The leaders are since pushing for President Uhuru Kenyatta to re-express his ambition to vie for the third term.

Although Moses Kuria launched his bid for presidency the leaders have rubbished it basing on his low political grounds in the country. The leaders want to remain in top notch representation.

Although the leaders have made a controversial statement saying that the President despite his neglect to the region say that the President is too young to retire from active politics.The leaders who are silently pushing for constitutional review want the President to be in the ballot paper in 2022.

Although Isaac Mwaura who is a nominated MP today has come out to deny the allegations despite loud message that was sent by the Mt. Kenya leaders yesterday which was bold and conspicuous.

This might be a betrayal for the Deputy President President who has supported President Uhuru Kenyatta for his both terms and according the memorandum of understanding between the parties in Jubilee is that Ruto is the candidate for the party in 2022.

The Deputy President has even started establishing ties with other political leaders from other counties to solidify his ambition of being the fifth President of Kenya.

This push if intensifies will create a rift in the party and if the constitutional amendment goes through it means that President will be in the race.

This comes as other leaders have also expressed their interests to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. This include leaders from western Kenya who have expressed solo interests in the position despite calls for luhya unity. This is Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.

Gideon Moi is the new line who is trying to establish ties with leaders from the Nyanza which is Raila’s strong hold as the political future for Raila remains unidentified.

Members of Parliament and Mt.Kenya leaders  have expressed their concerns on the development Agenda led by Jubilee Government.

The MPs claim that the region has been neglected by  President Uhuru Kenyatta in his development agenda for the country. The leaders claim the amount of projects in the area are just low compared to other regions.

The leaders have said that they should be included in the Big Four Agenda , pushing for the countries development. The Mt. Kenya region leaders have always argued that they played a vital role in making sure that the Jubilee government remains in power.
