Itumbi finally opens up on why he is fond of Jacque Maribe

State House  Secretary for Digital Innovations and Diaspora Communications Dennis Itumbi has finally opened up on why he has been so passionate about Citizen TV Journalist Jacque Maribe’s trying moments.

Itumbi who has more than once made surprise appearances in Court during Maribe’s hearings as well as sending prayers to her via social media has always been questioned by Kenyans on his relationship with the TV girl.

He has consistently been sending quotes of wishing her well on social media.

A time came when he even wrote a long letter dedicated to Maribe’s son.

Itumbi who was speaking in an exclusive interview with one of the local dailies,Pulse, a column sister pullout in the Friday’s The Standard newspaper, the digital guru warned he won’t be intimidated by those trying to question and castigate his support for the TV anchor.

Itumbi quoted a bible verse in response to the question of why he has been always seen standing with the journalist in the case following her. Maribe is facing murder charges in the case of Monica Kimani, a lady who was found murdered in a bathtub in her Limuria apartments residence in Kilimani, Nairobi.

Itumbi insisted that those seen providing support for Maribe during her hard times were only obeying biblical commands.

“To those accusing us of visiting her in prison and appearing in court, my response is we are only obeying a Biblical command as captured by Matthew 25:36; “I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me,” he said.

“Nothing breaks a friend than seeing Jacque, in a capital offence uniform, locked behind bars, and having to hug her goodbye every day knowing all too well she is a beautiful soul, joyous heart and charming company and was not at the scene of the crime she is accused of committing,” he added.

Maribe and her co-accused and fiance Joseph Irungu alias Jowie who also dragged her in all the mess facing her are expected to appear before the court tomorrow Tuesday for a ruling into their bail application.

Will Itumbi again appear in the Court to continue his support for Maribe? Let us wait and see.
