A moment after his release on bail, Migori County Governor Okoth Obado took to his facebook account to express his feeling about the release.

The County boss started by thanking the People of Migori, Members of the County Assembly of Migori, the Staff of the County Government of Migori, his supporters, his legal team, friends and his family for standing with him during his trying moment.

Obado also thanked the court for listening to his request and granting him the bail.

He cited that the move by the court had now given him opportunity to effectively work for the people of Migori as their governor.

He further promised to respect the court and abide by the conditions it set and urged all Kenyan leaders, regardless of their political or ethnic affiliations, to embrace peace and unity so that as a family they steer forward the development agenda of the county.

However, Obado’s post has set social media on fire as Kenyans take to it to post different comments on his post.

Some say that they are not interested with is thanks to them but justice for the slain Sharon Otieno.

One of the people commenting went up to refer to the biblical quotes which he substituted the words to fit Obado’s case, “Happy are the ones who kill for they shall be jailed and and loose there elective seats.”

Another facebook user by the name Mwita Samson also demanded for Sharon’s justice and accused Obado for her killing.

Fred Oluoch Townrep posted, “When did she ( Sharon Otieno) die that you couldn’t condole with the family members the day her body was recovered, what have you been waiting for till this late after the DNA samples have been taken to labaratory and finally why is Sharon’s mum living in such a muddy below average house while you sleep, eat, watch and go for short and long calls on God’s atmosphere?? # Polo okmor kodi nera.”

Here are some of the comments Obado received in return of his post.
