Chelsea midfield inducted in the Guinness book records

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has earned a spot in the 2019 Guinness World Book of Records.

The former Arsenal man now holds the record of achieving 100 assists in the Premier League in the shortest amount of time, which sees him earn a place in the 2019 Guinness World Records (GWR) annual. In just 293 appearances.

The Spaniard made the achievement in just 293 matches, some 74 fewer appearances than the previous record holder, Ryan Giggs (367 matches).

“I’m not the fastest, I’m not the strongest, I’m not the most flexible, I don’t jump high. But to achieve this record in my career is one of the proudest things in my job because it is my job and I did it well,”  Fabregas told GWR.

The record-breaking assist came in 2016 when the Blues star laid on Willian to score their side’s second goal in a 4-2 win over Stoke at Stamford Bridge.

Earning himself a Guinness World Record is nothing new to the Span
